Visitors:
Quite a few visitors today were treated to lots and lots of migrating
raptors.

Weather:
Temperatures 7-15 C today. Sunny all day with some clouds in the
afternoon. Strong winds out of the north/northwest all day.

Raptor Observations:
A fantastic day of migration! Lots of Broad-winged Hawks, some of which
were up wicked high. Winds today were very strong for a good flight of
Broad-winged Hawks. This resulted in thermals (and thus Broad-wings) being
pushed out well over the lake. The most exciting kettle of the day was a
2500 plus individual group that streamed over head in a magnificently wide,
multi-leveled group.

A very nice showing by Bald Eagles, American Kestrels, and Sharp-shinned
Hawks. More immature Cooper's Hawks are beginning to mix in with the
Sharpies.

Non-raptor Observations:
Today's highlight was three American White Pelicans that flew over the
marsh going west and sat down to rest for a while. A single Snow Goose was
spotted over the lake with a small group of Canada Geese.
