Weather: Temperature 10.5-15.4 C. Winds out of the northwest, much lighter than the previous three days. Mostly cloudy with a few breaks of sun in the morning. A few sprinkles. Raptor Observations: A nice movement of Sharp-shinned Hawks and Turkey Vultures early with a few other raptors mixed in. The flight completely shut down in the early afternoon. Non-raptor Observations: The mix of non-raptors has definitely taken on a late fall feel. Golden-crowned Kinglets are starting to arrive, Rusty Blackbirds are around, and White-throated Sparrows are all over the brushy areas. A few American Pipits and Pine Siskins were detected flying overhead. I heard my first Dark-eyed Junco of the fall today.
