Hi Ontbirders; A 1st winter Franklin's Gull has been at the Kincardine
harbor for three days now. The gull varies between periods
of actively flying and then resting on the water but hardly ever leaves the
harbor basin. As far as I know everyone that came today got good looks at
the bird. One photographer had to put the telephoto lens down and use a
pocket camera, the bird is not shy and at times comes very close. Link to

Cheers James Turland

Directions; Kincardine is on the shore of lake Huron where highways 9 and
21 meet. The harbor is one block west of downtown on Harbor Street. Best
viewing has been from the southern edge of the harbor.
