I am forwarding this from a new expert French birder who has just joined
Trent University as a Research Associate. You can rely on his
identification.

Subject: magnolia warbler

Hi Tony,

just to let you know i saw a magnolia warbler in a flock of kinglets and
chickadees in Presqu'ile PP today around 2pm, in the trees around the
parking lot where we stop to go to owen point. i imagine this is a very rare
sighting here in winter!

also crossed to gull island (barefoot!!) with a couple friends, did not do
too much birding, but still saw two snowy owls on high bluff, and a flock of
maybe 30 snow buntings on gull island

best,

Alban
