Boxing Day Birders (as apposed to shoppers),

In Port Burwell Provincial Park today, December 26th, 2011:

One Snowy Owl perched on the rock breakwater about ⅔ of the way out. Scope
will help, but binoculars will work. Several Common and Red-breasted
Mergansers in the water nearby and at the end of the breakwater - scope needed.

One Purple Sandpiper on the beach shoreline just west of the rock breakwater
feeding in the debris of shells. No bins needed for this one!

In parking lots #1 and #2, a flock of about 12 Eastern Bluebirds.

Good birding,

Joe Stephenson

Port Burwell as at the southern end of Hwy #19/Planck Road on Lake Erie, south
of Ingersoll and Tillsonburg.
