What up Ontbirders? Jackson Hudecki and I just got in from a day of birding in the Hamilton area.
At 12 Noon, we noted a TURKEY VULTURE flying over the Chedoke Golf Course just off the 403. My first ever for February. A PIED-BILLED GREBE was at Bronte Creek Marina,in Oakville, and a SNOWY OWL was in the area as well. At Lasalle Marina in Burlington, we spotted the KING EIDER that has been hanging out, and as we were leaving, a group of about 50 TUNDRA SWANS flew over as well, circled once, and headed west. Best in birding Leonard Manning Hamilton, ON Directions: LaSalle Marina is at the end of Waterdown Road accessed off the 403 hamilton. Bronte Creek Marina is at the end of Bronte Road, off the 403 as well. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
