Just before turning off eastbound Ridge Road into Grimsby's Beamer Conservation
Area today I saw a Black Vulture over a vineyard. This was at 11:00 AM. It had
come up from below the escarpment (to the north), behind and out of sight of
the hawk watchers in the park. I found the bird again further inland a few
kilometers to the southwest, where it put on a show for my camera. The Beamer
folks confirmed the identification from my photos, which are available to
anyone who asks.
