The Long Point sightings board is up and running and will be updated weekly throughout the migration seasons. The highlight from this past week was a Fork-tailed Flycatcher first observed and later banded at the Tip of Long Point on April 17/18. Other goodies include American Golden Plover, Glaucous, Iceland, and Little Gull, White-eyed Vireo, Golden-winged Warbler, Grasshopper Sparrow, and a European Greenfinch (questionable origin). The Old Cut Research Station opened on March 27 and will run until June 10. The Tip Research Station opened on April 12 and Breakwater opened on April 20.
