On Saturday June 2 I observed a pair of Sandhill Cranes with one young at the Paris Cranberry Bog, also known at Grass Lake. There was a pair with young at the same location last year.
The visibility of this species is increasing each year in North Dumfries Township, Region of Waterloo. There have been nests in the Grass Lake-Elliott's Lake area for over a decade now, with 1 or 2 young produced each year. The Paris Cranberry Bog is found in North Dumfries Township, south of Cambridge. This can be found at: http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=%2843.2945,%20-80.3498%29. Paul F. J.
