Surprised to find a mini fallout this morning at lamton Arena Park. A olive
sided flycatcher was hawking for insects next to the parking lot.The bird
presented great views from a perch that was unusually low for this species.
Additionaly at the western edge overlooking the Humber river another surprise
was a bright male scarlet tanager still in spring plumage. Also a chestnut
sided warbler and a blue gray knatcatcher. The park is a small remnant
oak savannah habitat bordering the humber river. Coming west along bloor st
travel past prince edward drive ,travel across the humber & immediately turn
left and follow the road 1000 yards into the parking lot behind the arena.
Coming from the east on bloor enter right just before the bridge .
