Hi Ont Birders; On October 3 the Bruce Birding Club led by Fred Jazvac
found and had good looks at a Marbled Godwit at Miramichi Bay. Other birds
seen at the bay were Semi-palm and Black-bellied Plovers, Lesser and
Greater  Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpipers, several ducks including
White-winged Scoter and a couple gull species and a Bald Eagle. In total
for the day the club saw 65 species at numerous sites in
the Southampton area. A picture of the Godwit can be seen at the Bruce

Directions; Miramichi Bay is found on the Lake Huron Shoreline between
Southampton and Port Elgin. Just north of Port Elgin turn west on con 10
follow almost to the lake and then turn right on to Miramichi road and
follow about 1 Kilometer.
