The Northern Hawk Owl reported earlier was seen at 2 PM today in the same
area on Bowesville Road,Ottawa. It flew in from the west side of the road
and perched atop a tree on the east side for two or three minutes. It then
flew off while composing this message, direction unknown. It was heard
before it was seen and was "trilling" often as it flew in. Photos obtained.

Bowesville Road is due south of the Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier airport, off
Leitrim Road. The owl was about 500m south of Leitrim Road.
