The first-year male Harlequin seen recently on the Ottawa River was, again, in the north channel at Bate Island Thursday around 11 a.m. It was among a handful of Common Goldeneye, visible from the eastern shore of the island. Bate Island is accessible from the Champlain Bridge between Ottawa and Gatineau, Que.
