On Wednesday March 20, at 12.45 pm.

I was down in Long Point today and saw a Golden Eagle. It was at the
end of Hastings Drive which runs west along the shore of Lake Erie.
We climbed up on top of the sand dune at the end of the road. It was
pretty far off, but the second I saw it through my binoculars I knew
it was a Golden. It had definite white patches near the end of the
wings and a very white base of it's tail, which would make it an
immature. There were also 4 immature Bald Eagles and 2, maybe 3 adult
Bald Eagles out over the same marshy area. While looking at all the
eagles, a Northern Harrier flew right in front of us at eye level 40
feet away. We also saw 2 more adult Bald Eagles later in the
afternoon making it about 8 or 9 in total for the day.

Heading south on the Long Point Rd. causeway, turn right onto Hastings
Dr. just before the big bend where it turns into Erie Blvd. Follow
Hastings Dr. to the very end, well past where the paved section ends.
