Hi Ontbirds people,

Mark Gawn's post on Monday was no April Fool's joke...today (April 3rd) there
were multiple thousands of Greater Snow Geese incl. a good number of blue
morphs (maybe 5% as Mark suggested). The majority was concentrated in the farm
fields east of Morewood and Cayer Rds. north of Winchester, ON. Others were
spread out in fields farther to the south. Bitter blustery WNW winds made
vewing of distant geese difficult and probably discouraged a lot of migrant
movement today, though a determined effort was made by a few Great Blue Herons,
Turkey Vultures, N. Harriers, Killdeer, and the omnipresent (since mid-March)
Am. Robins, R-w Blackbirds and C. Grackles.

DIRECTIONS (from Ottawa):

Bank Street south to Morewood Rd. Left (east) on Morewood.

Enjoy the season...it just gets better!
