The first wave of Yellow-rumped Warbler was observed today, with small flocks 
of 6 - 8 birds seen in several areas. Details of today's banding are as 
follows: 
 
Eastern Phoebe - 1
Brown Creeper - 1
Winter Wren - 1
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 6
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 3
Hermit Thrush - 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 2
Swamp Sparrow - 2
White-throated Sparrow - 1
Red-winged Blackbird - 6
Common Crackle - 1
 
Other species of note heard or seen were:  Ring-necked Pheasant heard in the 
tall grass to the south of the Nature Centre; Pied-billed Grebe; Virginia Rail 
heard from the boardwalk area of the Hillman Trail; Brown Thrasher.
