A male CERULEAN WARBLER was seen and heard in Gatineau Park along Ch. Sincennes 
between the park gate (currently the gate on Ch. Sincennes is open and no fee 
is required) and Lac La Peche on the 10th. It has not been subsequently 
reported.

A single ARCTIC TERN, the first reported since May 30th, was seen over the 
Ottawa River between Lemieux Island and the Chaudières Bridge on the 11th.
 
Sparrows have been reported from a number of locations. At the Burnt Lands 
Alvar Provincial Nature Reserve on the west side of March Valley Rd at Burnt 
Lands Rd on the 4th were CHIPPING, SONG, SWAMP, FIELD (4), SAVANNAH (4), 
GRASSHOPPER (2) and VESPER (1) SPARROW. On the 9th on the fields on either side 
of Bowesville Rd south of the International Airport there were VESPER, 
GRASSHOPPER, SAVANNAH and FIELD SPARROW as well as HOUSE WREN, BROWN THRASHER, 
EASTERN BLUEBIRD, EASTERN PHOEBE, OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER (1), BOBOLINK, EASTERN 
MEADOWLARK, NORTHERN HARRIER and a MERLIN. Later the same day at that location 
there were also a few CLAY-COLORED SPARROW and RED-SHOULDERED (imm.), 
RED-TAILED (ad), BROAD-WINGED (ad) HAWK, NORTHERN HARRIER (2) and AMERICAN 
KESTREL (m).
 
BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO (2) were heard in the Richmond Fen on the 8th and on the 
12th YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO (2) were heard on trails 1 and 1B which run to the 
west from the west end of the Gatineau Park Champlain Lookout overflow parking 
area.
 
WHIP-POOR-WILL are being heard after dusk on the NE side of Torbolton Ridge 
(Carp Hills) from the Thomas Dolan Pkwy and on the 6th from Huntmar Dr near the 
RR tracks. 
 
EASTERN TOWHEE (3) were seen or heard on the NE side of Torbolton Ridge (Carp 
Hills) from the Thomas Dolan Pkwy on the 13th. 
     
Interesting sightings;
- NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was reported in Scissons Park in Kanata on the 8th
- SNOW GOOSE (4) were seen at the Casselman lagoon on the 8th
- COMMON GALLINULE (2), LEAST BITTERN (1) and BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON (1 ad & 
1 imm.) were seen at Constance Creek on Thomas Dolan Pkwy on the 9th
- BLACKPOLL WARBLER in Marlborough Forest near Rogers Pond on the 9th
- BONAPARTE'S GULL (15) and COMMON TERN (7) were seen at the Ottawa River 
Deschenes Rapids on the 11th
- CAROLINA WREN was reported in Elmvale Acres Haig and Quinlan area on the 10th
