Hi Ontbirders Around 5:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, The Brown Booby was seen circling the decrepid lighthouse nearest the Canadian shore. It circled about 6 times and finally landed on the first concrete level up from the water. It stayed there, probably to roost, on the corner where the two walls meet, as viewed from the Canadian side. It has been seen in this exact spot roosting before. A spotting scope is necessary.Follow the QEW southbound towards Fort Erie. Take Central Avenue exit. Turn right on Central, then right on Lakeshore Rd. Drive past the Old Fort Erie historic site on the right. Just a little past this point on the left there is a rocky shoreline.........Good birding, Astrid Akkerman and Jim Thomson _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
