Just been watching (and photographing) a Thick-billed Murre here in
Kingston. Alerted by a local, at a private address near the water treatment
works on Kingston waterfront, it was followed east along the waterfront at
Queen's University, past Time Statue, past KGH and then on past the Martello
Tower at MacDonald Park where we left it. It is moving at walking pace and
will no doubt be approaching the downtown/harbour area before long. It's
going to take some searching for, but is at least currently very close to
shore (5-30m).
