While doing the Toronto Christmas Bird Count at the Leslie Street Spit - Tommy Thompson Park with John Carley and Carl Hills, we re-found the first winter Purple Sandpiper. It was just north of the point to the west of Pipit Point in the southeast corner of the park. It flew across the narrow mouth to the south bay and was foraging among the rocks at the other side at 10:35.
