At about 7 this morning (still dark) I saw a Snowy Owl on a pole beside the 401
by the westbound off ramp to Keele Street in Toronto. The bird was not there
this afternoon. I mention this simply to illustrate a Snowy Owl turning up in a
place with very little habitat this winter.

The Snowy Owl photos are of the bird that has been fairly reliable at Bronte
Harbour recently.
