Hi Everyone Just realized I forgot to mention in my last post the movement of Northern Shrikes. On January 16th I observed 9 Northern Shrikes west of Ottawa while searching for Snowy Owls. This is the largest single day total I've ever recorded in the Ottawa-Gatineau area in +40 yrs. The following day I found 5 shrikes northwest of Ottawa. There definitely appears to be a southward movement of Northern Shrikes. Good birding, Bruce
