The 3 King Eiders were still present this afternoon but the 1st year male and the reddish female were out on the lake in a raft of scaups, the gray female was in the outer harbour, swam within 10ft of the lookout :). Also the female Snowy Owl is still hanging in the harbour Photos of the owl and King eiders at http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrew-don/

Subject: [Ontbirds] Three King Eiders at Bronte Harbour this morning

This morning there were three King Eiders, one young male and two females, in Bronte outer harbour.

Three Tundra Swans flew by to the west.

Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Road (Oakville) and go south to the lake then walk out on the pier. The pier is icy. The eiders in the harbour with other ducks and geese.
