Birders, The previously reported ROSS'S GOOSE is still present at the Roch Chapel Golf Course in Flamborough. Joanne Redwood and I just met up with Barry Cherriere there who had the bird staked out nicely. The Snow Geese have not been seen yet , nor have any little cacklers.
It should be known that on this 26th day of March,2014 Anno Domini, the owner of the property hath made a public decree that none shall view the bird while standing on the golf course starting tomorrow. So today, you are welcome on the course to view the bird, but that courtesy will only given today so it is a limited time offer. We have many photos of the bird, which is thought to be an immature based on some brownish mottling in the plumage. Rock Chapel Golf Course in in Flamborough. It can be accessed from Hwy 5 (Dundas Street), and is on the north side of this street, just west of Rock Chapel Road, also west of Hwy 6. Take 403 and get off at Hwy 6 Guelph. Travel north on 6, then go west once up the hill on Hwy 5. On your right will eventually be the course. Fore!!!! Best, Len "The mizzle" Manning and Joanne "The rizzle" Redwood _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
