This morning while strolling through the Fletcher Wildlife Garden in Ottawa, I
flushed an American Woodcock.  The bird was foraging on limited bare ground
beneath the large mature pine/spruce stand just north of the large feeder.  The
bird was subsequently flushed several times by other passers-by.

Directions:  The Fletcher Wildlife Garden, maintained by the Ottawa
Field-Naturalists' Club, is located off Prince of Wales Drive north of Baseline
Road and just south of the Dominion Arboretum.
