On an outbound trip to Colborne this morning I saw an osprey flying southbound over highway 401 and Lakeridge Rd., Whitby. It had a fairly large stick clutched in its talons, obviously building a nest somewhere in the vicinity. Cranberry Marsh maybe? On the way back a raven flew southbound over the highway just east of kilometer marker 478, near Cobourg. It was being chased and harassed by a crow.
