Hello, The juvenile Yellow-crowned Night-Heron was present and out in the open along the shore of the pond from 3-3:45 p.m. today. Also present was a nearby juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron for convenient comparison. They were in view from the lake shore trail and the viewing platform.
Directions: Head south on Kipling Avenue from the Gardiner Expressway until you reach the parking lot at the south end of Kipling. Walk east on the pea gravel trail to the viewing platform.
