For those interested in exotica, a European Greenfinch was seen at 10 am today in the company of a male and female house finch, a song sparrow and three cardinals. The greenfinch was seen in the brush and shrubs at the edge and on the slope to the northeast of the paved cycling trail north of the Catherine street parking lot on the east side of the Humber river in étienne brûlé park. The bird was seen at a point even with the first weir north of Catherine street. Étienne Brule park is north of Bloor St. West and Old mill Rd. In Toronto. From Old mill road, cross the Catherine street bridge going east and turn north to descend into the parking lot. there is a lot of construction about which may necessitate parking on the west side of the river. Cheers John Carley
