George Arevalo. Director of Golf at Carruthers Creek Golf and CC just called me to say that a group of birders was asked to leave one of the fairways this morning as they were in an area not permitted for viewing. I was asked to email birders and remind them that liability and safety issues are important to the golf course operators and private property must be respected.
Please do not trespass on the golf course. The golf course is private property and YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION to enter onto the golf course (fairways, rough, greens or pathways). You DO HAVE permission to view from Bayly or the Club Parking Lot near the Pro Shop. George also asked me to remind you that the golf course is only open between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. so access to the grounds (including the parking area) is not permitted outside those hours. If you have any questions when at the course, please go to the Pro Shop and talk to one of the staff there. Please do not ask maintenance staff on the course for advice or permission. Also I spoke to the manager at Vandermeer’s Nursery and Garden Centre and they said it is okay to park in their lot as long as you don’t block any roadways and pls park along the south edge of the lot beside Bayly. Pls respect the wishes of the property owners and be careful crossing Bayly as it is four lanes and busy. Directions: take 401 to Salem Rd. South. Turn left (east) on Bayly to the intersection with Lakeridge Rd. Turn right and park at the golf course and look north.
