As unusual as this sounds - I'm currently looking at a Green-winged Teal that shows the features of a "Eurasian Green-winged Teal" - also known as Common Teal. Yet the bird shows a faint vertical white bar on the side of the breast, indicating its parents (or grandparents) have mingled with our North American Green-winged Teal at some point... I've managed a few distant photos that will appear on ebird later tonight.
Location: viewed from my condo, but presumably visible from the end of Green Rd. in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The bird is in a mixed flock of Greater & Lesser Scaup + 4 American Wigeon. Exits off the QEW are Centennial Parkway or Fruitland Rd. in Stoney Creek. Good Birding!
