There was a single breeding adult Common Gallinule at West Perth Wetlands this
morning. It was found by Bob and Ann Marie Taylor and spent several minutes
walking and swimming along the far shore of the cell closest to the pig plant.
Otherwise WPWL were quiet with Killdeer and Spotted Sandpiper the only
shorebirds and Wood Duck, pintail and Blue-winged Teal the only waterfowl of
note.

West Perth Wetlands are in Mitchell, about 20 km NW of Stratford. From Ontario
Street (Hwy 8) drive south on Wellington Street to Frank Street. Follow the
gravel road to the parking lot. No permit required.
