As a result of an email from Mike Burrell to Bruce DiLabio and myself this
evening Bruce talked to Jacques Bouvier who photographed a bird he believed was
a Greater white fronted Goose today. Bruce and I and others in Southern Ontario
have looked at the photo and are convinced it is a Pink footed Goose. The bird
was seen in a huge flock of Greater Snow Geese on Lafleche Rd east of
Casselman. Directions are:
Take Highway 417 thru Ottawa to exit 58 which is east of Casselman then go
South on Hwy138. Lafleche Rd is approx 1 km south of Hwy 417 and goes west off
138
The Geese are often in the fields south of Lafleche. This road ends at the
Garbage Dump !!!
We will post early tomorrow re any sightings
Good birding
Mike
