We saw the smew from the Ault Island Causeway about 2:30. Brian Morin spotted it and 3 of us saw it. A bald eagle flew over and flushed the ducks and mergansers and it was not refound. On a windy cool day, it was clinging close to the west bank directly across from the middle of the causeway. Go west from Long Sault about 5KM (approximately) and turn left on Ault Island Rd.
