Hello Everyone.

Derek & Jen Lyon just came into the Visitor Centre with fantastic pictures
of a Black-necked Stilt they found at the Hillman Marsh Shorebird Cell.
The bird was seen a couple times between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. It was
chased off twice by the Ring-billed Gulls - it returned once and was last
seen at 12:30 pm flying east over the shorebird blind towards the marsh
proper.

It was sticking to the mud flats when in the shorebird cell, rather than
wading in the deeper water.

There will be many eyes out at the cell this afternoon - the first OFO
Shorebird Night of the Festival takes place between 4-6 pm.

Good birding everyone
