| Nancy and I just found a singing Dickcissel on a fence row east of Oro-Medonte Line 8 about 100 metres south of Old Barrie Rd. Might be a first record for Simcoe County.
Directions: take Hwy 11 north from Barrie. Exit at Oro-medonte Line 7 or 9 drive north (away from Lake Simcoe) to Old Barrie Rd. Take this road to line 8 turn south and park on the side of the road next to the sign indicating that there is a stop sign ahead. Look east along the fence line.
