Visitors:
Today was the last full day of our visit from the Tennessee Trio! They will
be stopping by in the morning briefly before their drive back! Safe travels
to them!
Weather:
Light Southerly winds all day, the winds must have been strong higher up
because the birds were seemingly getting pushed North.
Raptor Observations:
A good flight of raptors today, but almost all were scope-required birds
far to our North, and either Mike or myself were scoping the North all day!
3 more Rough-legged Hawks, and 4 more Golden Eagles were the highlights.
Two Goldens migrated past within minutes of each other at about 11:35 local
time, and the other two migrated past between 3-4pm local time.
Non-raptor Observations:
177 Blue Jays, it appears a few are still migrating over, as well as 870
American Crows. There was a decent non-raptor migration today, with 85
Horned Larks, 22 American Pipits, 125 Cedar Waxwings, over 1,300 Blackbird
like-birds migrated over as well as 213 Finch-like birds. For the full
eBird checklist, go to http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32271634
Predictions:
Tomorrows winds are predicted to be out of the S, then switch over the the
W for the afternoon.
