Weather: Dense fog lasted until about 9:30am, at which point it faded to a hazy-fog which lasted the rest of the day. S-E variable winds all day. Raptor Observations: Very few birds yet again. All three in different hours, all three on different flight paths. Interestingly, the Northern Harrier went straight South out over the lake and appeared to keep going. One Red-tail was headed WSW and one was WNW. Non-raptor Observations: Our Orange-crowned Warbler still seems to be hanging around. 283 Horned Larks were counted, as well as 24 American Pipits, 3 Lapland Longspurs, and 88 Cedar Waxwings. For the full eBird checklist, go to http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32597937 Predictions: More warm weather and moderate South winds! Another slow day likely to come! ======================================================================== Report submitted by Sean Jenniskens (seanjennisk...@hotmail.com) Holiday Beach Conservation Area information may be found at: http://hbmo.ca/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
