Whilst sipping my coffee and watching my granddaughter dance in circles two Grackles and half a dozen Red-winged Blackbirds landed in the yard. My records indicate earliest arrival date ever.
I suspect they are arriving in many places. Maybe we should all dance in circles for an early spring.
