Tonight just before sunset Richard Carr and I found 23 American Avocets and 6
Willets, then after Richard left I watched two more groups of Willets join the
six for a total of 90 Willets. I then found a Stilt Sandpiper hanging with a
Lesser Yellowlegs near the larger shorebirds. There were also at least 10
Pectoral Sandpipers and a few hundred Dunlin present. These shorebirds were all
in the shorebird cell of Hillman Marsh on Mersea Rd 2, about 6 km east of
Leamington in Essex County.

Good birding!
