Hello All,

The Yellow-breasted Chat found by Marcie Jacklin and Blayne & Jean Farnan on May 30 is still present in Wainfleet, near the intersection of Willson and Garringer Roads. Jean and I had great views of the bird at 12:15 earlier this afternoon. It was perched at the top of a shrub and singing, approximately 100 metres north of the intersection.

Directions:

From St. Catharines, travel south on Hwy 406 to the roundabout in Welland. Take the second exit and travel east through the Welland Tunnel. Turn right onto the 140 South. Turn right onto Main St E/Niagara Regional Rd 3(signs for ON-3 W/Port Colborne).Travel west on Hwy 3 for 8 km to reach Willson Rd (on the right). The intersection with Garringer Rd is 2 km north of Hwy 3.

Good Birding,

Bob Highcock & Jean Hampson

St. Catharines, ON
