I just checked the updated AOS (AOU) Check-list of North American Birds online. Here are three highlights:
1. Common and Hoary Redpolls were NOT lumped. Great news for Canada Day. 2. Thayer's Gull was lumped as a subspecies of Iceland Gull. 3. Willet was NOT split into Eastern and Western Willets. There are other changes to be discovered by working through the list.
