Just to close the loop we analyzed our photos of the suspected Short-billed
Dowitcher yesterday and confirmed with Ron Pittaway that it was indeed a
Short-billed (hendersonii sub-species). It has extensive cinnamon colouring
right down to the legs and under the belly to the tail. It has spotted rather
than barred sides.

Heading down this morning and will report if it, or a Red Knot, appears. Ah
don't we all love shorebird identificatiom!
