For High Park denizens: if you visit the new Liquor Store on Dundas West, look up to the south-west corner of that building's rooftop and you may catch a young snowy owl, occasionally launching itself towards the aerial buffet of pigeons at the corner of Keele and Dundas. It has been around the last couple of days. On the last pass, the owl disappeared and a red-tailed hawk came up from behind the pigeons... tis the season for quick change artists? The sight of this snow white bird wheeling past Victorian era buildings is really impressive.
