There were three species of geese at Morrisburg today – The number of Canadas is substantial, many thousands from east of town to further west. There was a small flock of about 60 Greater Snow Geese and 2 Cackling Geese. The river is wide open here with a bit of shore ice which the birds like to stand on. There has been a major Canada Goose movement in the last few days along the St. Lawrence with thousands moving further north.
