I'm not sure if this is significant or not.  I know that Red-tailed hawks have been nesting in Toronto ravines for some time.  However we have a pair nesting in a tall white pine in our backyard in Riverdale, Toronto.  They began building the nest last August but are now definitely  raising a brood, which is pretty cool.
