Hope you are having a great Mother's Day!

After the heavy rain in the morning birders were treated with very close views 
of many migrants. Many were foraging low throughout the Park.

There was a report of a MISSISSIPPI KITE flying over Tilden's Woods.

22 species of warblers have been reported so far, with BLUE-WINGED, MOURNING, 
KENTUCKY, PROTHONOTARY, being reported. 

Also noted was a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT, found north of the Tip tram loop on the 
West Beach Trail. In the same area YELLOW-THROATED VIREO was observed. Near to 
the halfway stop on the same trail, a WHITE-EYED VIREO was found.

The highlights at the Tip were a RED-THROATED LOON, offshore, and a SEDGE WREN. 
Also just in, an ACADIAN FLYCATCHER was reported near the Tip washrooms.

On Post Woods trail north of the Sparrow Field there was a BLUE-WINGED WARBLER.

Further north, on the Woodland Nature Trail (WNT) the PROTHONOTARY WARBLER at 
bridge 7 (Bridge F) was heard and seen. Nearby there was a WHITE-EYED VIREO and 
another was seen further north at bridge D. Also on the WNT, a MOURNING WARBLER 
 just north of the northern entrance to Redbud Trail, and a KENTUCKY WARBLER 30 
metres south of the Botham Loop were reported. 

An ACADIAN FLYCATCHER was reported from just south of the West Beach Parking 
lot, on the West Beach Trail. Also, in the same area there was a GRASSHOPPER 
SPARROW. A COMMON NIGHTHAWK was found 90 m north of the West Beach Parking lot.

Tilden Woods also had quite a few migrants foraging low down, and also a couple 
of SOLITARY SANDPIPERS. A CANADA WARBLER was found along Shuster Trail, before 
entering into Tilden Woods.

There is still a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW reported behind the washroom in the 
North-west Beach Parking Lot.

Outside the Park, a DICKCISSEL was still at 20937 Erie Street, South Wheatley. 
Seven WILLETS were seen at Wheatley Harbour flying towards Hillman Marsh 
Conservation Area. A Snowy Owl was seen the dairy freeze billboard on the south 
side of highway 3 just east of the town of Essex.
