Quinten Wiegersma just messaged me to say that the Purple Gallinule came out at 6:35pm, and just again now.
Location: John R. Park Homestead can found by searching Google Maps, and is on County Rd 50 between Kingsville and Harrow in Essex County. Park in the gravel parking lot up against a flower garden in front of the homestead, walk to County Rd 50 and turn right. There is a small bridge over the road, and the bird is less than 100m south of Rd50 (toward the lake). Viewing is difficult through the thick phragmites and will require patience. Good birding, Isabel Apkarian _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the provincial birding organization.
