Observers:

Visitors:
4 visitors made it to the tower today.

Weather:
Light winds to sometime hardly any winds from the southeast persisted over
the course of the day. The temperature began at 20.3 C and reached a high
of 33.3 C. Skies were close to 100% cloud free most of the day. Visibility
was about 7 km with a haze on the horizon throughout the day.

Raptor Observations:
Sharp-shinned Hawks were consistently being observed with an average of
more than 15 per hour. Some Northern Harriers were also coming in
consistently, although in smaller numbers. Many Turkey Vultures were seen
soaring in thermals around midday relatively far in the distance. 8
American Kestrels and a Peregrine Falcon were observed. No buteos were
observed today.

Non-raptor Observations:
There was not too much activity around the tower. Only a few Tree Swallows
were observed and no Chimney Swift. A slow day for Canada Geese as well. A
good number of Red-winged Blackbirds were observed mostly in the morning,
as well as large flocks of European Starling. Blue Jays are still coming
through in good numbers.

Blue Jays- 16 830
Monarchs - 5

Predictions:
The winds are expected to continue from the south tomorrow with a mix of
sun and clouds and temperatures in the low to mid 20's C but could feel
close to 30 C with the humidity. There is also the chance of a shower and
thunderstorm later in the afternoon and into the evening.
