Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Chris Burris

Observers: Dave Verkley, Mary Carnahan, Ronnie Goodhand

Visitors:
A big thanks to Chris B as today's counter along with help from Ronnie,
Dave V., Mary and several visitors for helping spot the birds.

Weather:
The temperature ranged from 1C to 7C. Winds were steady NW until early
afternoon, then weakened a bit and shifted toward N. Cloud cover ranged
from 0% at the start to 100% by the end of the observation period.

Raptor Observations:
A fair day with just under 700 birds, with Buteos making a strong showing,
along with one Northern Goshawk and a couple of subadult looking Golden
Eagles. Birds were often high and/or distant, especially later in the day,
and so some – lacking a consensus ID -- were unfortunately left uncounted.

Non-raptor Observations:
Some good non-raptors observed today with... Song Sparrow, White-throated
Sparrow, Blue Jay, American Goldfinch, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy
Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, American Crow,
Golden-crowned Kinglet, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Yellow-rumped Warbler,
Nashville Warbler, European Starling, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Purple Finch,
Pine Siskin, Hairy Woodpecker, American Robin, Black-capped Chickadee,
Dark-eyed Junco, Canada Goose, Eastern Bluebird, Common Grackle, Hermit
Thrush, Mourning Dove, Killdeer, Red-winged Blackbird, Brown Creeper, and
Winter Wren.
