Cold, damp and breezy this morning with some rain, but wonderful birding. About 28 species of warblers reported including 2 KENTUCKY, a KIRTLAND'S, PRAIRIE, several PROTHONOTARY, and 2 CERULEANS. Many birds are actively feeding and streaming northward. Observers in the north end of the Park indicated a large number of birds continuing to head northward. Birds are being found throughout the Park. The Tip was very active as birders arrived, and a female CERULEAN was seen among many other species of warblers and other birds. Birds were noted flying into the Point from Pelee Island. A KENTUCKY WARBLER was noted just north of the Tram Loop along the road. Another KENTUCKY WARBLER was found at the north end of Redbud trail. A bit farther south on the Redbud trail a HOODED WARBLER was located. A PRAIRIE WARBLER was seen along the beach at White Pine Picnic area. A KIRTLAND'S WARBLER was reported along the beach at the Park Orientation. The PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS were seen at both bridge A and F on the Woodland Trail. A male CERULEAN WARBLER was reported near bridge B. Several BLUE-WINGED WARBLERS were observed, one near Post 19 on the Woodland Nature Trail, and one in Tilden Woods. A GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was noted near the Solar Panel at the Tip. Also a LONG-EARED OWL was near the Tip on the west side.
